Our Mission

Our mission is to help economically disadvantaged adults overcome barriers to employment.

Jobs are the foundation to become financially independent. By creating job opportunities for people who want to work, learn a vocational skill, and demonstrate a desire to invest in themselves, they can develop a future.

Jobs Foundation employs economically disadvantaged adults in self funding business enterprises including; online sales of donated business, commercial and personal goods. Employees receive on-the-job training in fundamentals of work, social interaction, and a minimum of three marketable skills such as, pickup and delivery services, warehouse operations, administrative and bookkeeping services, and sales and marketing.

We hire people who have few opportunities for employment. People who want to work, but don’t have work skills or may have a personal history that prevents them from being hired by anyone. Employees who have been here for a while are included in the interview process for new hires. We have only a few rules: no drugs, no alcohol and no violence or intimidation at work. The goal is to create a place for people to learn marketable skills, and the understanding of integrity.

We teach personal skills: how to break old habits, how to get along with other people, particularly those different from us. Some have never had jobs, so we teach basic work habits – showing up on time, listening to a boss, and getting along with coworkers. Vocational training is done by the employees who have completed training. Our goal is “learn-one-teach-one”. If you learn a new skill, be prepared to teach that skill to someone else. We structure classes and on-the-job training with a “Letter of Completion” for each area of learning.
